My husband Jerry Bloomberg passed away a year ago on 9/12/23. He suffered with Parkinson’s for over 20 years, but managed somehow to overcome many of the obstacles the disease presented.
We traveled to Israel for the Maccabiah Games when our sons were athletes in the games. We became active in Maccabi USA, active in the Temple, and Jerry even played on the TBT baseball team. We enjoyed going to Florida winters and spending family time with our children and grandchildren there and here.
Jerry was my rock, my best friend, and the most devoted, and loving partner I was blessed to have for 63 years. He was warm, friendly, loyal, generous, and funny, not to mention tall dark and handsome!
He loved his boys and was so proud of their accomplishments. He went to all of their sporting events when they were young and later they all shared their love of the “KNICKS.”
In the last few years when his health was failing, we were happy just staying at home spending quiet evenings watching television, and sunny afternoons having lunches outside on our deck enjoying all the trees and flowers he had planted himself when we first moved into our home. We also loved having family and friends visit us when it was becoming more difficult for us to visit them.
We miss him so much, and although our material ties did sever, in our hearts, “JB” will live on forever!
